Security within EasyTaskLink is based on both roles and Groups. There are two roles in EasyTaskLink: Administrator and Project Manager. For a detailed discussion of these roles see the Roles section. The Administrator is required to make a new user a Project Manager.
Group security identifies who can do what to which folders. When a new Folder is created, EasyTaskLink inherits the privileges of the parent Folder automatically. Although the EasyTaskLink Model provides extensive flexibility to assert appropriate security measures, it also allows easy configurations for users who do not wish to have complex security schemes. The Project Administrator can assign special privileges for any users or user groups in any Folder. Security modifications to a Folder or View will be automatically propagated subordinate Folders or Views.
